Hi Gilang!
May be it's a little strange to answer on the New Year
congratulation in March.
But I had some problem with computer and I've restored my e-mail
just couple weeks ago. I'm very glad to say another time "terima
kasih!" to your company for wonderful
trip on Komodo. I very like in Indonesia and I hope
someday to visit your country again.
Я очень рад еще раз сказать «спасибо! вашей компании за великолепный
тур на Комодо. Мне очень понравилась Индонезия и я надеюсь
когда-нибудь посетить вашу страну снова.
Now is final period of winter in Russia and I like to look
Indonesian photos, so warm, green, blue and bright. These pictures
so different from the landscape in my window! I'd like present to
you several photo, because, I think, landscapes are exotic for you
as well as Indonesian Islands for me. There is a “Hello” for guides
who accompanied us in the journey and my photos of the Russian
winter, made in January and in March not far from Moscow.
Best regards,
LYUBELSKIY VALERIY & KOSAREVA TATIANA from Russia
Komodo National Park includes three major islands: Komodo, Rinca
and Padar, as well as numerous smaller islands creating a total
surface area (marine and land) of 1817km (proposed extensions would
bring the total surface area up to 2,321km2). As well as being home
to the Komodo dragon, the Park provides refuge for many other
notable terrestrial species such as the orange-footed scrub fowl, an
endemic rat, and the Timor deer. Moreover, the Park includes one of
the richest marine environments including coral reefs, mangroves,
sea grass beds, seamounts, and semi-enclosed bays. These habitats
harbor more than 1,000 species of fish, some 260 species of
reef-building coral, and 70 species of sponges. Dugong, sharks,
manta rays, at least 14 species of whales, dolphins, and sea turtles
also make Komodo National Park their home.
Nestled between eastern Sumbawa and western Flores lies three tiny
grass-covered islands Komodo and Rinca which together form the
Komodo National Park, a protected wildlife reserve. This is the home
of the giants lizard known as the "Komodo Dragon" it was thought to
be a myth until the turn of the century, when fishermen who were
forced by a storm to take shelter on Komodo sight the monsters. This
is the world's largest monitor lizard, Varanus Komodoensies, when
full grown it measures up to 3.13 meters (10feet 2 inches) in length
and weight anything up to 165.9kg (365pounds). They are fearsome
creatures with enormous jaws, squat muscular legs and sharp claws.
Preying on live deer, goats and wild pigs, they lie in wait hidden
in the long grass.
