From the moment we stepped off the plane, Danny has been exceptional
in everyway possible. Educational, professional, friendly, kind and
humorous. We feel extremely lucky to have such a fantastic guide to
show us through such a tranquil part of this world. We have learnt
so much about the jungle, birds, Indonesian language, culture and of
course the Orangutans and many types of monkeys. The accommodation
on the boat was pure serenity. It was our own palace in paradise.
Highly recommend this experience. Rubaiyah the cook provides gourmet
meals with lots of variety and delicate tastes, a soft gentle lady
with a beautiful smile. To sit on the mattress on the boat just
cruising along the river with so much comfort and an excellent crew
was pure indulgence. I'm not ready to leave this amazing place we
call the jungle surrounded by so much beauty.
No Roads has had picked a magnificent high calibre group of
guides. I'm so proud we can call them very own and know whoever
enters this part of the world will have an experience of a lifetime
that they will never stop talking about.
Thank you Danny, we Love you,
Fiona, Wendy and Clancis.
Wow !! What an amazing experience. This trip has been fantastic.
Ivend was extremely well. The stay on the klotok was very
comfortable. The Rimba Lodge was wonderful and so eco-friendly. We
were definitely spoilt with all the sammpious food, we never went
hungry and last but not least, thank you for the best experience of
our lives to be able to get up so close to the beautiful orangutans.
We can't wait to come back and do this all again. Thank You, Joanne
& Brooke. 25/9/2012
Incredible amazing experience - Beautiful people, happy and helpful.
The forest and boat, calmness and tranquil nature, very peaceful.
Food fantastic. And the Orangutans, OMG - i will
never forget this. The happiness and joy of people in the river
village. This whole trip has changed my thoughts
and will certainly change much of my actions back home! I hope to
return one day. Regards, Kerry.

Our Orangutan trip was awesome. Dinner on the boat
with china and glass was more than I ever expected. The staff was
great and took care of all our needs. I would recommend this tour to
anyone. Marilyn and groups.

Thank You for a dream comes true time in Tanjung Puting
National Park. We could not have asked for a more magical time
cruising on the boat with Dedy,Uji,Halim, and totally loving
Rubiyatis delicious meals. Dedy was amazing how he interacted with
the wild life and others tourists were impressed with his knowledge
also. He could communicate with the orangutanes on
our
Borneo trip by name and sounds. To be able to sit with 10
orangutans at once have them come up dose to us was
exciting. Uji and Halim were expert capitains and fun loving
pirates. Gilang did an expert job organizing our trip so smoothly.
Every connection was flawless and he took care of our every need.
The final night on the boat was one of our favorite 4th of Julys
(American Independent Day) we were swept away for a delicious candle
light dinner under the stars, and our fireworks were enchanting fire
flies. Wow! We totally loved every second on our orangutan
adventure. Thank you for making us all smile and giving us
such wonderful memories!. Val, Mike, Abi

This whole experience has been one of the most unique and eye
opening trips I have ever been involved in. The planning of the trip
was so organized and smooth.
Visiting all the wonderful places along the way has been amazing
seeing the culture and the way the locals live was an insight to
this incredible country.
The whole experience of spending time with Orangutans in the jungle,
just felt like a honour and something that i will treasure and
remember for the rest of my life. Thanks for putting this great
opportunity together.
The crew that worked on the boat were superb!! they were hard
working, accommodating and so very friendly and happy. Nothing
seemed too much trouble for these guys. The food was delicious and
iam so impressed at what they can cook with the facilities that they
have on the boat. What a beautiful group of men hope to see them
again.
To our local guides, Edy and Danny, what can i say? not enough words
to describe my thanks. Appreciation for these two men. They were
knowledgeable, friendly, approachable, funny and so kind. This trip
wouldn't of been the some without them Nothing seemed too much for
them. I could ask them about anything or for anything and they would
answer or helped out straight away! I will remember them always and
hope to see them again one day!
Gilang was so helpful and organized. when the pressure was on with
delayed flights, he was on to it straight away and organized the 2nd
flights to wait! Gilang is very knowledgeable and helpful and we
couldn't have done it without him, Gilang is an top bloke!! Very

The last 4 days has been the best experience of my life, and was
made even better by everyone on board Mama one (1). We were made to
feel so special and the service we got was 5 out of 5.
Our guide Eddie has been fantastic - so full of knowledge and always
making sure we are happy. He effortlessly engaged in conversation
with us and answered all of our questions. Throughout our journey we
were never hungry, and the food we were served would rival any 5
star restaurant in Melbourne!
The crew on the boat always ensured we were comfortable, and made
sure everything was done for us.
To Eddie, Gilang and Mama one(1) crew, I would like to thank you so
VERY much for taking us on one of the most amazing journeys of my
life. I will never forget it and the people that took us on it. You
don't need to improve on any thing. It was perfect.
Terima Kasih, PS: a big Thank you to Eddie + Gilang for all that you
did for keeping us entertained - and teaching us so much. Christ
Tunks.
We had a fabulous time this has definitely been the highlight of
Indonesia for us.- Pak Arsyad was absolutely fantastic with the
children, showing them animals and a book and encouraging, helping
them to draw them, showing animals. Udin helped picked berries and
made walking sticks with the kinds. - Ivend was so knowledgeable
about all the animals, showing us, different plants and explaining
to us medicinal uses. Telling us who each orangutan was and about
each of them. Our family has thoughly enjoyed our time with the
orangutans and loved our time with a fantastic crew with a great
chet. Thank you so much, Deeley Family. 3/10/2012
The tour was well organised with good communication.
The
boat crew were excellent including chopping trees from
blocking the river! Our cook was also fantastic. Most importantly
our guide, Kris was informative, fun and very friendly. We had the
perfect holiday. Thanks to your whole team, especially our guide,
Kris. regards Martin
We have had a wonderful experience visiting
Borneo. The general
feel of our holiday has been one of real involvement in the life of
the jungle. Rimba lodge was a delight. Our boat crew looked after us
very well as did the staff of Rimba. However it was our guide, Kris,
who made the holiday much a wonderful one. He was informative and
knowledgeable......and we feel he is a great guide to any tour
company. Irene
Our tour was truly wonderful. It was made even more
magical by our guide, Kris. His friendliness and knowledge change
the tour from the magical to the magnificent. Thank you
Korindo Network and Kris. Steve.
Simple, the whole portrage was amazing. The boat crew were great and
we really enjoyed the amazing food prepared from us. Kris made our
trip truly unforgettable and even arranged for a birthday cake to be
sent to my husband in our hotel as a surprised. A really lovely
personal touch. I would
recommend this experience to anyone.
We would like to thank you to Korindo Network LR tours and travel
teams in Orangutan camp Leakey tours in October 2011 in providing us
with such as excellent guide in Mr.Edi. During our Orang Utan
Experience in Borneo Edi has shown the utmost courtesy and
consideration. He is extremely knowledgeable + informative about
many aspects of the jungle animals, botany, history, laws, etc.
We couldn't recommend Edi more highly to anyone considering this
trip. We have felt safe and secure the entire time and he and our
wonderful crew have provided excellent and friendly service.
Edi proficiency in English is excellent. He is also always on the
lookout to provide us with the best photo opportunities, animal
encounters and natural experiences.
Edi has been able to answer all of our questions in details and we
feel thoroughly spoilt and privileged to have spent the last few
days with him and crews. Also meals on the boat was fantastic - two

Eddie kindly asked myself and my husband to give comments on our
experience and if anything could be improved.
My personal comments are: I have absolutely loved this adventure!
the crew were all very helpful, always there with smile and working
very hard. The boat was kept extremely clean at all times. Clearly
there is a lot of pride in what they do. Improvements? None. The
crew and itinerary were perfect to say that seeing
Orangutans and
other wildlife was spectacular, goes without saying. What made our
experience so perfect, unique, memorable and inspiring was Eddie,
Gilang and the rest of the Mama one(1) crew!
I can't thank you enough for helping to make my honeymoon the best
if could possibly be and over all one of the most memorable and
special adventurer of my
life.
Much kindness and humble, Thanks, Serenity Tunks. PS: i will miss
the amazing meals on the boat! Can we pinch the chef and take him

BORNEO ORANGOTANGHI E DESTINAZIONI REMOTE - Agosto 2010 - Elena and
Alan
Carissimo Gilang,
abbiamo visto scimmie nasiche, gibboni e uccelli. Poi abbiamo
risalito il fiume con la speed boat diretti ai villaggi Dayak.
Abbiamo raggiunto Bayat, Kahingai e Bakonsu. Abbiamo sempre trovato

- Excellent service, delicious food, very informative and welcoming.
- We felt comfortable and well looked after.
- We did not mean to offend by not eating all the food, we were
simply too full to eat more. Raphaelle had had a poor appetite for
several days before we boarded the boat. I was trying t eat her
share as well as my own, but i am small and cannot eat a lot.
- I wish everybody well and thank you all. It has been a wonderful
holiday for me: no shopping. cooking, cleaning or washing!

Kristen and I had a fantastic time on our Orangutan trip.
Gilang, Eddy and the crews treated us with so much care and respect
that i can't think of anything that needs to be changed.
The food was delicious and there was always much more than we could
eat.
Eddy shared his knowledge of the area with us and was always happy
to answer our questions.
Ujie and Sanny were always there to help and masrun is one of the
best cooks ever!
Thank you to all of you for making our trip so special. I nearly
forgot Gilang, he is the one who made it all happen.

Gilang, just picked this up. We had a wonderful time in Tanjung
Puting. Dodi, and the rest of the crew made it a truly memorable
experience. Just had a bit of a problem with the flight back. It
didn't depart until 11:55 (not 10) and then all the flights were
supposedly full to Denpasar.. Fortunately we got a couple of tickets
on standby, and the important thing is we're finally in Ubud.
Looking forward to the Komodo trip!Regards,Paul

Thank you Dani and Gilang + The crew for a wonderful experience. We
could not have wished for anything more...
we have seen many animals: long-tailed monkey, Squirrel, Snakes,
Monitor lizard, Kingfisher, Asian hornbill, Butterfly + Fire
ants. But of course we came here to observe the rare and endangered
Orangutan and we were not dissappointed. Watching the mthers care
for their babies, the dominant males exerting their authority, the
young ones playing together, we were able to get an idea of the
importance of these creatures to the world.
We walked through the jungle, planted a Nyatu tree each and watched
fire flies light up the night. The boat was comfortable at day and
night and i thank the chef especially for all the wonderful meals.
Waking in the early morning to the sound of gibbon calling from the
forest is something that i will miss.

Hi Gilang!!!!!!!
Its Dale from Melbourne in Australia (Tanjung Puting
1996!!!!!!!!!!!)
Its been a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnng time since we spoke (by mail) - perhaps
5 years!.
Not sure whether I lost your address or what happened. Last thing I
recall is you travelled to Timor about 2000ish and were staying I
think with your uncle in Lombok (maybe - not sure). Perhaps you were
travelling around too much so couldn't contact you.
Anyway I was surfing the web looking at Tanjung Puting and after
seeing a recent photo of Andi thought I'd see if your name came up
on Google. And sure enough it did. Seems you are doing well with
your tours everywhere including some tours back in Tanjung Puting.
Sounds like a great job!
Adriana and I went back to Tanjung Puting in May 2004 with our
daughter and we asked around about you but it seems you were
probably not back doing tours into the park then. We stayed at
Tanjung Harapan again, though they had to find some broken beds for
us as it had become rundown with holes everywhere and was no longer
in use for visitors. We had a good time again though with bats
flying around our room and lots of spiders!! At that time there was
Adung, Butet and Daniel being fed at Harapan. I read Adung and Butet
got sick a bit later in 2004 or 2005 and had to be caged for about a
year but hopefully they're ok now.
We stayed about 5 days and the Project Manager lady there showed us
around a bit.
Anyway we're still in Melbourne, although Adriana and I separated
February last year. Our daughter Amber's 9 years old and we also
have a son Jesse who is 2 and a half.
I've attached some photos from our first visit to Tanjung Puting in
1996 (some with you with longggg hair) then our 2004 visit and from
2008.
Anyway hope to hear from you.
Cheers
Dale

Dear Gilang
Hello!
I was thinking of writing you and letting you know the great
experience we’ve had.
Not only we loved your country, but the Orangutan Tour was way
beyond what we expected. We were very lucky because we got to see
many different species and our guide was really nice! Also the
captain, the cook, and the crew!
We also want to let you know that as soon as we reached Bali I began
feeling sick, and finally when we reached Puerto Rico we found out
we are going to become parents!!!!!!!!!!!!! So…what more magic can
we ask of a trip????
We thank you for all the hard work you put on your job, and for
fulfilling one of my greatest dreams in the world: watching the
Orangutans up close and personal!!!!
Hope business goes well!
Regards
Mislael, Soledad and the new member of the family (expected for
first days of March!)
Ps: We took so many pictures, I am still choosing the best to send
them to you!
Hello Gilang,
I'm finally getting back to you after too much time in my regular
world. I sent a few photos of our adventure. We had hundreds. If you
want any type of photos in particular let me know and I can send a
high quality version. These are sent at lower quality for email
purposes.
So..............the trip was awesome. The orangutangs-many wild
ones!-other wildlife both seen and heard, were wonderful and
plentiful. Barking deer, gibbons, hornbills, probiscius monkeys. The
boat, crew and food was excellent. I could have spent a few more
days cruising that way! Ferry was top notch. He certianly has a
large grasp on the world and his environment. We loved him!
Definitely a great choice on your part. The village was a great way
to experience the local flavor. As you can see I was game for the
sauna-Gig only did the massage. The trek was challenging :) and the
jungle was wonderful.....even the swamp part. The trekking guides
were wonderful and again the food great. I was impressed by the
quality of the tents. If there was anything that could have been
improved on it would have great to camp more in the "rimba". I do
understand all parks have lots of rules about such things like here.
We were able to hear allot of wildlife from our camp. The kids were
great too. I learned allot and I think they were real curious about
Americans.
So it is something I would definitely recommend to anyone thinking
about experiencing the jungle and wildlife in Borneo. After we
traveled on to Sarawak, Sabah and Brunei we knew we had made a great
choice with your trip. I will say the jungle in Brunei is
spectacular (more mountainous) there just isn't much of it.
I hope all is well with you. We had 8" of snow several days after
our return! Quite a shock for our systems. Stay in touch and let me
know if you want any photos.
Thanks again for all your help, correspondence and understanding. We
enjoyed every minute.

The holiday was great I really enjoyed it. The komodo island boat
trip was brilliant with great snorkelling and of course the dragons.
Borneo was fantastic and we saw a lot of wildlife. The Rinjani Trek
was tiring but also rewarding and quite good fun.
